Pure YAG crystal

The pure YAG (Yttrium Aluminum Garnet) is an important crystal material for bonded crystal substrates and UV & IR optical windows. YAG crystals have high mechanical strength, good thermal conductivity, high optical quality, and stable chemical properties. These excellent physical and chemical characteristics are very similar to those of commonly used substrate and window materials such as sapphire. However, YAG is a cubic crystal system without natural birefringence and has good optical uniformity, thus it is widely used.
